Cabbage Rolls The onions are sautéed in oil, when they are almost ready, the tomato paste is added and left to cool. The rice is washed and left in a water to puff. Then it is mixed in with the meat, onions, rice, salt, peper and cimbru. The meat mixture is rolled in the cabbage leaves. They are placed in pot as one row of cabbage rolls, on row of diced sour cabbage and pieces of European bacon and tomato paste until you fill the pot. They are then covered with one cabbage leaf and you pour hot water over them. Place them on the stove for one hour at a low temperature and then place them in the oven for another hour – hour and a half. Bon Appetite! |
